TRACCE - PART TWO.
As the year draws to a close, Luca Valerio D'Amico and Daniele Parisi are set to present a new show.
New stories to hear and watch come to life on canvas in real-time.
Once again, within the setting of Palazzo Velli, there will be three evenings of theatrical and vocal performance combined with live painting.
New stories steeped in the Christmas spirit, narrated by Daniele Parisi and illustrated by Luca Valerio D'Amico.
Three evenings of entirely original tales.
Three evenings, each unique and unlike the last.
The "Tracce" (Traces) project stems from a desire to merge figurative art with theatrical storytelling. Roman artist Luca Valerio D'Amico will create his figurative works live, accompanying Daniele Parisi’s readings and vocal performances. The meeting of these two artists gives rise to a unique performance—one that can never be replicated or repeated in exactly the same way.
THE ARTISTS
Luca Valerio D'Amico is a cosmopolitan artist of Roman origin.
His medium of expression is the line, which he employs in all its modulations—ranging from minimalist and avant-garde forms to those rich in classical echoes. He possesses an inspired intuition for the avant-garde (and classicist) intertwining of images, where the end meets the beginning and vice versa. He chooses themes inspired by the unconscious, appealing to the viewer's own subconscious to find their full realization.
The entire illustrated surface is inhabited by bizarre stories—suspended, animated—where one can almost hear the chatter.
Daniele Parisi is an actor and writer for the stage. His artistic output is rooted in the exploration and experimentation of a language that captures the neuroses and obsessions of contemporary life.
The result is a series of highly comic "psycho one-man shows."
Popular theater blends with the absurd, the grotesque, and nonsense. The dramaturgy of these performances rests on two fundamental principles: devising (writing through performance) and musical composition using a loop station to record vocal loops strictly live.
Music and stage action thus go hand in hand.
It is a vibrant form of popular theater born from the need for a performance-based writing process, placing great importance on the relationship and interaction with the audience.
