ReWriters—the independent cultural movement founded by writer and journalist Eugenia Romanelli, which aims to reshape the cultural imagination in its broadest sense through articles by prominent figures—will present the inaugural ReWriters 2020 award to Bebe Vio.
This significant award honors those who have distinguished themselves by contributing to the reshaping of the contemporary cultural imagination. This year, it is dedicated to a young woman and exceptional athlete who—through her own life and her daily commitment via her association, art4sport—is not only changing global perceptions of disability but is also rewriting the history of sport and, by extension, redefining what is possible regarding one's own resources, dreams, and existence.
The award—a stunning piece titled "Sampietrone" by artist-inventor Marco Duranti, curated by Cristiana Meloni (founder of LABO Architects&Inventors)—will be presented on November 25th at 6:00 PM at Palazzo Velli Expo in Rome, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
